Mold Damage – Tallahassee House

Mold damage in the attic of this Tallahassee home’s attic was discovered by the property owner. The damage was extensive and seemed like it would be an overwhelming task to the owner, so he sought out an expert in mold remediation to remediate the damage. SERVPRO of North Leon County was selected to take care of homeowner’s mold infestation. The job would require well-trained technicians equipped with the right materials to get the job done. The first order of business was to locate the source of the moisture which led to the mold growth in the first place. We found a breach in the roofing in a number of places and called in a roofing contractor to repair the roof. The inside of the roof in the attic required dry sponging by hand using special SERVPRO compounds and commercial air movers and dehumidifiers to help dry the moisture that was present. Once the cleaning was completed, and the area was thoroughly dried we sprayed an antimicrobial substance to inhibit future mold growth.
